WAGGA City Council is giving community members the chance to win a $250 prize with its Earth Hour promotion.
Council is asking residents to commit to making changes to waste less, save more and get efficient.
By thinking of one, two or three changes you can make and filling out the commitment form on this page, you could win an enviro-friendly prize pack valued at more than $250.
Council is supporting Climate Rescue Of Wagga’s (CROW) picnic at Collins Park as part of the Earth Hour activities.
The event will be held from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, with light music to complement the picnic. Candles will be lit when the lights are turned off at 8.30pm.
Council will also turn off its internal lights to coincide with Earth Hour, while the external lighting will stay on for safety reasons. Anyone who registers for Earth Hour at customer service at the Civic Centre will receive a free environmentally-friendly soy candle.
