While the Wagga branch has close to 80 volunteers, the RDA is always on the lookout for more helpers.

RDA is hoping for a strong turnout to its orientation and training for volunteers at the Plumpton Road complex on Friday, February 27.

"Volunteers are vital to us and we are looking for new ones, as well as maintaining our associaton with those we have had in the past," RDA senior coach and vice-president Heather Baker said.

"It's an advantage for the volunteer to have experience with horses, but it's not essential."

The volunteers day will be held from 10am to 3pm and more information can be obtained by calling the RDA on 6922 3550.
