WAR veterans with restricted mobility will still have the chance to take part in Wagga's Anzac Day activities.
Wagga RSL sub-branch is encouraging those with difficulty walking to take advantage of offers of assistance.
Any veteran who is unable to march on Anzac Day and would like to ride in an official vehicle - provided by the Red Cross and Wagga Taxis - should contact the sub-branch on 6921 3528.
A veteran who marches but requires assistance may have one carer to help them, while mobility scooters are also available.
Bookings for the scooters can be made with Gordon Moore at Riverina Scooters and Mobility on 6921 4444. Relatives of deceased veterans are welcome to march behind the "Descendants of Veterans" banner.
Medals of the veteran may be worn by the relative on the right-hand side. Children under the age of 12 who are marching for a relative must be accompanied by an adult.
Wagga's Anzac Day program will start at 6am on Sunday, April 25, with the dawn service at the cenotaph. Breakfast will precede the Anzac Day march and commemorative service, with activities culminating with the Anzac Day lunch at the Wagga RSL Club from 12.30pm
