WAGGA residents will be showing their support for Red Nose Day on Friday.
Red Nose Day is a major fundraiser for SIDS and Kids, helping save the lives of babies, infants and children being lost every day from the sudden and unexpected death caused by SIDS, perinatal death and unknown causes.
SIDS is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome where an infant under the age of one has a sudden death, while perinatal death is the death of a baby born within 28 days of birth – both with no explanation.
There are plenty of ways in which Wagga can get involved with Red Nose Day such as:
- Sell Red Nose Day products at your workplace, school or to family and friends.
- Have a morning tea at your work for a gold coin donation.
- Auction off your boss or team leader.
- Host an activity at your kinder or school to raise money – eg colouring competition, obstacle course.
- Have a garage or car boot sale and donate the funds raised.
- Dress red or in casual for a small donation.
- Build a wishing well in the cafe for people to donate their coffee money.
