Wagga can count on oxygen bank

17 Feb, 2010 02:21 PM
Celia Davies is the latest beneficiary of the Regional Oxygen Bank's hard work.

The Wagga woman who suffers from emphysema and pulmonary hypertension, was presented with an oxygen machine by the group's chairperson Marilyn Bragg and South Wagga Lions Club president John Skipper.

The Lions Club's generosity continued when a $2000 cheque was handed over to the oxygen bank.

Formed in July last year, the oxygen bank raises money through trivia nights, club donations and private pledges.

The group will hold another major fundraiser on Monday with a card party at the Rules Club from 12.30pm. Bookings can be made with Marjorie on 6921 3919.
