Vital information shared at TAFE

16 Jun, 2010 01:30 PM
STUDENTS considering all their options for further study are encouraged to attend an information expo at the Riverina Institute of TAFE tonight.

The session is designed to help students and their parents find out about all the options for further study and provide information about TAFE courses, study paths and careers.

The HSC and Beyond Expo will include trade stands, information sessions, displays of student work and access to teaching technologies and equipment.

Students will also have the chance to speak to TAFE teachers one-on-one.

But while the expo is ideal for current high school students, head of the Wagga campus, Pam Green, said anyone thinking about further study could benefit.

“Obviously we are very encouraging of high school students and parents – particularly those students in years 10 to 12 who are immediately facing some big decisions – however, it is really an ideal opportunity for anybody in the community who is interested in vocational education and training to gain direct access to teaching staff and find out in great depth everything Riverina Institute has to offer,” Ms Green said.

Students will also be able to find out about the Riverina Institute’s links to universities such as Charles Sturt, La Trobe and University of Canberra.
