Wagga will be 1000 trees greener on Friday courtesy of the Wagga Marketplace.

To coincide with National Tree Day, the centre will give away 1000 native seedlings to residents to take home and plant in their gardens.

“Planting native trees in the Wagga is a simple way residents can contribute to the environment and make an impact in the fight against climate change on a community level,” Wagga Marketplace marketing manager Sheridan Ingold said.

“Native plants were chosen to complement our local environment and wildlife”.

The free native seedlings will be available next to Fruitmarket Wagga at the Marketplace from 10am on Friday.

Wagga Marketplace is owned by Industry Superannuation Property Trust Pty Ltd and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, which are committed to environmental sustainability and have implemented a number of sustainable initiatives at their shopping centres.
