THE motto “Australia remembers ... Legacy never forgets” holds special significance as Wagga is reminded to support an important cause next
week.
Legacy Appeals Week runs from Sunday through to Friday, September 3, with a wide range of activities planned.
Money will be raised through:
- Legatees and volunteers – such as the National Servicemen’s Association and Vietnam Vets – approaching businesses seeking donations.
- Raffle and badge selling points will be at Kooringal Mall, Sturt Mall, SouthCity, the Wagga Marketplace and Bunnings.
- Two cake stalls will be held on September 3 at Tolland and Legacy House. Donations of produce gratefully accepted.
- High school students and defence force personnel in uniform will take shifts selling badges in the main street on September 3.
