WAGGA Jazz Quartet will provide an afternoon of relaxing mainstream music at the Wagga RSL Club on Sunday.
Comprising Charlie Down on the keyboard, Peter Brown on the saxophone and clarinet, Mike McCall on bass and George Ceely on drums, Wagga Jazz Quartet will take centre stage at Jazz Junction live for May.
The quartet will be joined by Mike’s wife Kath, who is a
well-known singer in Wagga.
Highlighting the quartet’s experience is the fact Charlie has performed at a number of top Sydney venues, George has been playing since he was 10 years old, and Peter and Mike have been members of the popular rock ‘n’ roll band Riverina RJs as well as the Music Men.
Mike is also the bass player in Blue Ridge, a country music band where Kath is the regular vocalist.
Jazz Junction Live will be held from 3pm to 6pm at the Mirage Room at the RSL Club.
Entry is $15 for adults, $10 for pensioner and student concessions, while children 12 years and under are free. A gold coin donation will go to the charity of the month, which is Willans Hill School in May.
