 Thumbs up, thumbs down

Thumbs up, thumbs down

16 Feb, 2012 06:00 AM
DOWN to the two women in a Wagga suburb who are openly selling cigarettes from their front yard to children.

Hundreds of them. From six to sixteen, from all different suburbs, before school and after, all weekend and – of course – all night long while these kids are out doing their vandalising.

While the police are investigating the vandalised house across the road, these kids are at the front door of the house across the road getting their supplies.

Some of these kids are than reselling the cigarettes at school.

Neighbours are being left with broken windows and people living in the area are having to put up with spitting, threats, rocks and eggs being thrown at homes and cars, rude sexual commentary and displays and a lot of distress.

All the while these two women are openly bragging that they are making a substantial profit.

Does anyone at all give a damn? (Contributed)

DOWN to a certain charity for treating all its hardworking volunteers like rubbish and not telling them when they are open or closed.

It only takes a minute to pick up the phone and let them know. (Contributed)

DOWN to the Department of Housing for not taking any notice of all the letters and phone calls about idiots keeping others awake all hours of the night with very loud yelling and swearing.

Why won’t you do anything about it?

It is all over Wagga. (Contributed)

DOWN to the young man working at a large electrical store who told me complete and utter nonsense about a particular product I was enquiring about.

I may be a decade or so older than you, but I am not stupid.

Being infuriated at the treatment I received, I took my business to Officeworks where another young man, Chris, gave me nothing but outstanding service and attention as soon as I arrived.

I questioned him about what I had been told at Dick Smith and my thoughts were confirmed – it was utter nonsense.

Chris not only waited patiently while I made a decision on my final purchase, but he also priced the relevant consumables for me, as well as warn me that my purchase didn’t come with the necessary cables.

Its this kind of service that makes me happy to go out of my way, and out of the CBD, to do my shopping.

Thank you your help Chris, and more importantly, the respect you have for your customers. (Contributed)

UP and a special thank you to Caloola Court for caring for several elderly residents from ‘Sunny Cove’ during the flood evacuation crisis. (Contributed)

UP and a big thank you to the North Wagga resident who, having been evacuated twice from North Wagga, offered assistance to ‘Sunny Cove’ residents who were forced to evacuate Central Wagga. (Contributed)
