 Thumbs up, Thumbs down

Thumbs up, Thumbs down

UP and a big congratulations to Shaun Perry, Sara Morley and all those who assisted with the under 15/16 cricket last week.

The whole week was well run and organised under difficult circumstances. Well done. (Contributed)

DOWN to Glenfield Park owner of a cat which roams the street around 1am.

It has been in my backyard four nights in a row waking me up.

If I see it again in my backyard I will complain to the pound.

It has been waking me up constantly and it’s getting out of hand. (Contributed)

UP to the terrific charities in Junee.

We have three charities in Junee who help out the community when they are in need – Vinnies, Red Sheild Family Store and Annies.

With all the good they do in town I cannot see why our council cannot be a bit generous themselves and waive all the tip fees for them, as it is items that cannot be sold that make up the bulk of rubbish from these shops and it only comes from the town.

I have spoken to many people who think the same as I do, so I hope they write in and voice their opinion also about the council charging their charities for tip fees.

Surely they make enough money from the rest of the town going to the tip and doing the right thing with their rubbish and waive fees for our charities because nobody knows when they might need from them and every dollar counts. (Contributed)

A big thumbs up to the Christmas Day volunteers at Edel Quinn Men's Service in Kincaid St. Your generousity of spirit was greatly appreciated by the residents. You helped to lighten a day that to some can be the loneliest day of the year. There can be no more selfless act than to devote your Christmas Day to helping others.

A BIG thumbs down to the inconsiderate people who recently moved into Birri Place Glenfield Park. This street was considered a family friendly one. We do not appreicate loud music and unregistered cars driving around at all hours of the night, especially after numerous alcoholic drinks. It is very annoying when car tires squeal in the early hours of the night. Try sleeping at night instead of all day. Dumping rubbish in your neighbours bin isn't appreicated, so how about you and your friends grow up and think about the other people living close to you. Hopefully the police catch you soon.

Thumbs up to Jordan of Tarocash. It is refreshing to see someone who appreciates what customer service is all about, her friendly attitude and helpful demeanor are an example a few other customer service entities around Wagga could learn from.
