THE?Sustainability Advantage awards were developed by the NSW government Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water to recognise businesses making an effort to do their bit for the environment.

Forty-seven organisations across the state received bronze partnerships recently, to coincide with World Environment Day.

Among this year’s recipients were Charles Sturt University, Cargill Beef Australia, and the Albury-based Riverina Cheese.

To receive the award, groups must show a strong commitment to business sustainability.

Silver, gold and platinum levels of the awards are also on offer for businesses with even higher environmental commitment.
