KYLIE Priest takes great comfort in knowing she is not alone on the daunting journey she is taking.
The mother-of-two has been overwhelmed by the support she has received since she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer in October.
Her family and workmates at Cargill Beef Australia have rallied behind Kylie, who has undergone extensive treatment.
"The support has been amazing," said the 38-year-old, who has lost her long hair after receiving chemotherapy.
Colleagues Tania Hamilton and Amy Leonard have been driving forces behind cancer fundraisers to coincide with Kylie's brave battle.
"Amy came to me and said because Kylie will lose her hair, we should also shave our heads and raise some money for cancer awareness," Tania said.
The plan has grown to include 21 other Cargill employees, who will all have their heads shaved at the Cargill plant canteen on Friday.
"We think of ourselves as one big family at Cargill, and this is another example of how we help each other out," Kylie said.
"It's been a fantastic response from the people at the plant.
"I don't know all the people having their heads shaved, but everyone is touched by cancer in some way and are only too willing get involved."
Tania and Amy have formed the Cargill Cares cancer awareness committee, which has already achieved its target of raising $10,000.
"Business owners and friends have already been so generous," Amy said.
"It would be great to think we could double what we originally set out to raise."
