Inner hurry to help

WAGGA’S Inner Wheel Club says every coin can make a difference when it comes to funding research for umbilical cord blood.

The club will raise important funds when it sells bears and other merchandise at its Coin For A Cord Day stalls at the Wagga Marketplace, Sturt Mall and Kooringal Mall on Friday.

Research funded by Inner Wheel – primarily involving the female relatives of Rotarians – is finding new ways to use umbilical cord blood to successfully treat children and adults with leukaemia and other diseases.

Inner Wheel has conducted Coin For A Cord Day for the past eight years and has raised more than $1.3 million Australia-wide.
