Georgina’s picture-perfect entry

21 Jul, 2010 11:16 AM
GEORGINA Flanagan is only 12 years old but she already has a fair idea about what she wants to do with her life.

The year 7 student at Kildare Catholic College aspires to follow a career path in photography.

“Whenever I get the chance I get my camera out and take a photo,” Georgina said.

“I have thought about a career in taking pictures of animals and birds.”

Georgina has highlighted her photography skills by winning The Leader’s Photo of the Week competition.

Titled Autumn Fun, the picture was taken by Georgina at the BotanicGardens.

“The picture shows my little brother Callum, who is three, playing hide-and-seek in the leaves,” she said.

Georgina won a framed photo of her entry, which was judged the best of the weekly winners this year.

You could be the next winner of the competition

Anybody can enter by sending your entry to editor@rivleader. com.au with the photographer’s name, contact details and a brief caption.
