WITH cheap family entertainment hard to come by these days, the Mater Dei Primary School fete is exactly what Wagga families have been looking for.
Mater Dei will hold the fete on Saturday between 11am and 2pm on the school grounds, with organiser Trish Jancewicz saying the day "will be lots of fun for everyone".
In addition to the usual rides, Mater Dei has gone a step further with a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory room as well as sumo wrestler suits and a dunk 'em machine.
There are also all the showtime favourites, including helium balloons, show bags, fairy floss, doughnuts, food stalls and a garden stall.
Wagga Squash and Fitness has even donated a blow-up squash court just for the occasion.
A silent auction will include a tool hamper, dinner vouchers, beauty and fitness packs, an AFL Kangaroos signed guernsey, a collectable Peter Brock car, a pearl necklace thanks to Epica jewellers and a Swans AFL hamper.
No school activity would be complete without some educational benefit. There will be a rescue display of a car wreck on which a rescue unit will demonstrate the jaws of life, with some paramedics also attending.
