IT will be a year of firsts for the Kooringal Medical Centre.
The addition of three female doctors - Dr Jane Goddard, Dr Enas Aziz and Dr Emma Gilchrist - will break new ground for the centre.
And the centre will branch out in April with the opening of a new clinic at the Wagga Marketplace.
Practice manager Barbara George is excited about what 2010 holds for Kooringal Medical Centre.
"We realise how fortunate we are to have three lovely female doctors with us ? it's the first time in more than 20 years the centre will be in this situation," Barbara said.
"Female doctors are very popular with patients and are hard to find.
"We really value their contribution to our team and we look forward to offering the people of Wagga and surrounding area a friendly, caring and supportive environment when visiting our clinic."
The trio will join Dr John Padgett, Dr Adel Solomon and Dr Magdy Kyrillos at Kooringal Medical Centre, which is located next to the Kooringal Mall.
Barbara said the Marketplace is a major step for the practice.
"The new site will be known as MarketPlace Medical Centre and will offer the same services as Kooringal Medical Centre," Barbara said.
"New patients are most welcome and children under 16 will be bulk-billed."
