Catch some classics

LOVERS of classic cars can also say they are playing their part for prostate cancer research by attending a special show on Saturday.

Repco will have a selection of classic and modern vehicles on display at its Homebase site between 9am and 2pm.

There will be a sausage sizzle and cold drinks available, with all money raised going to the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. “Hopefully by supporting such an important issue as men’s health in a fun way, it will help with the awareness programs being run by the Cancer Council,” branch manager Mat O’Neill said.

Enthusiasts can admire a 1973 Bathurst Special GTR XU1 and a HDT VE/VK SS Group 3 Commodore among others.

Giveaways, balloons for the children and Repco in-store specials for Father’s Day will be other features of the promotion.
