WINNING a coveted Golden Crow Award is good for business.
Just ask the management of GHD, which led the way at last year's awards night.
"There has been an increased awareness of our business and capabilities within the Wagga business community and among the general public, which has led to increased opportunities for us," GHD's Scott Farrell said.
Wagga businesses will again be eyeing the awards from the time of their launch at the Wagga Commercial Club next week.
Formerly known as the Outstanding Business Awards, the Golden Crows are considered the pinnacle event on the calendar of the business community and the Wagga Business Chamber.
They recognise the superior achievements of local businesses and individuals. There are a range of categories open for nomination, with the Golden Crow Award ? the highest accolade ? handed out to Wagga's most outstanding business.
GHD won a number of awards in 2008, including Employee of the Year.
"The recognition by our peers and within the broader community has been rewarding and the support of the Wagga Business Chamber has been beneficial to our business," Scott said. Nominations for this year's Golden Crows will open from the launch ? to be held on Friday, August 7 from 6.30pm ? and will close on September 11.
