Betty has a ball while cooling off

15 Jan, 2010 02:24 PM
WAGGA’S temperatures have not been the only thing soaring this week, Betty has been in full flight at Wagga beach while playing with a tennis ball.

The black kelpie cross has jumped at the chance to cool off in the Murrumbidgee River with her owner Mark Cox.

“Betty has been coming down here since she was a puppy and it’s almost like a backyard to her,” Mark said.

The beach has been a popular spot as Wagga residents have sweltered in scorching conditions.

Sunday’s sizzling maximum of 42 degrees was followed by 41 on Monday.
