CAN you help Wagga police with their investigation into the abduction of a child in Mount Austin earlier this month?
Police are seeking information in relation to a male driving a vehicle similar to the one in the picture after a six-year-old was taken from her front yard in Macleay Street about 11.35am on Sunday, February 14.
The vehicle is described as a late model Toyota Hilux dual cab utility with a tray back and is completely white apart from the wheel trim, which is silver.
There is white mesh with a horizontal/vertical pattern across the back window, while a large yellow tub or drum was in the back. Registration of the vehicle is believed to be NSW black and yellow plates and begin with the letters BD or DB.
The male offender driving the utility is described as being aged between 35 and 45 years old, Caucasian appearance, Australian accent, solid/chubby build (but not obese), short brown hair (thinning on top), and wearing work clothes consisting of light blue jeans and brown work boots.
Police handed out hundreds of pamphlets in the Marketplace at the weekend in a bid to catch the offender.
"There was a great response and we received a lot of information which opened up new lines of inquiry," Detective Inspector Rod Smith said.
Anyone with information is urged to call Wagga Police on 6922 2599 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
