Apex recognises tireless worker

17 Feb, 2010 01:17 PM
ONE of Wagga’s unsung heroes has received recognition for his tireless contribution to the community with life membership of South Wagga Apex.

Richard Pottie has played an important role for Apex during the past 18 years and through his construction company has donated thousands of dollars in man hours, materials and machinery to projects the club has undertaken.

In the past two years Richard has been heavily involved in the organising, preparation and hands-on tasks required to secure government grants to refurbish Apex Park at Lake Albert.

On completion of this project, Richard will have secured close to $250,000 in donations for the refurbishment.

Richard has also held all club positions, serving several off them on two or three occasions.

His leadership qualities have been seen in the role of District Governor twice, State vice-president and national training officer.
