Thumbs Up for 4/3/2008

UP to the guys at Steel Supplies for your time, effort and heart while helping out with the sensory area for my son. Job well done. (Contributed)

UP to Glen from 2AAAFM.

Us night workers are missing him on Sunday nights with his great program of music and jingles. He always helped night workers get through their shifts, but now he has been moved. I was over the moon on a recent Sunday afternoon when we were having a barbecue with visitors from out of town and heard his show. So we phoned him up at the station and said “come back”. What a great afternoon. Well done Glen for your great program. (Contributed)

UP to the magistrate who said he would jail anyone who assaults our police. The violence has become worse in Wagga. Some young people roam around in packs, doing whatever they like. We do not like our police being attacked, and we should all back them up because they put their lives on the line the minute they put that uniform on. Some of us appreciate what they stand for and would like to see them shown some respect. (Contributed)

UP and a big thank you to the residents of Sunshine Avenue, Kevin Moffatt from Auto Panel Repairs and local police and ambulance who assisted me after I was involved in an accident recently. I was pretty shaken up and distressed and really appreciated your help. Having recently moved to Wagga,

I thank you and appreciate the kindness and humanity

of the locals. (Contributed)

UP and a huge thank you to two very kind ladies at Reece Plumbing. On a very busy Saturday morning, I needed to get a tap fixed while having my children in tow. Not only did they help me with new taps, but also helped entertain the kids. Then, while getting my children in the car, Tanya came out to help as I was having trouble. To my godsend, she stopped one of them running out into traffic on busy Dobney Avenue. I will be forever in your debt, your kindness is appreciated. (Contributed)

UP to the staff at the Wagga Women’s Health Centre. I have an ongoing dispute with a neighbour which borders on harassment. I am a DOH resident, I have depression and other health problems. Recently I went to their door (after hours) for some help – and was welcomed in for a chat and a cuppa. They have on several occasions gone out of their way for me. A big thank you to all the staff. UP to the Ashmont Community for caring so strongly about the local chemist closing.
