UP to the Two Kings show on New Year’s Eve. It was a really great night until about 11.45pm when in came the bag pipes. If I knew that was going to happen I would not have wasted my time in going. The JOK part of the night was great but when it came to the King it wasn’t as long as the JOK section. I went to listen to the Two Kings and to bring in the New Year but yet I went home upset because the end of the year was not what I expected. (Contributed)
UP to opposition health spokeswoman Gillian Skinner. In response to comments about nursing employment in The Daily Advertiser in recent weeks, she is quite correct in her comments. Have staff at Wagga Base considered offering a double shift to the registered nurse, unemployed, List A of the register? (Contributed)
UP to the thoughtful person who took the time to pick up my watch and hand it in at Forum 6 cinema on Saturday, January 5 after the session of PS I Love You. A very sincere thank you. It was a different watch but to me it also had sentimental value. It is great for us all to know there are still caring, honest people out there. (Contributed)
UP to Wagga Base Hospital staff, doctors and nurses and rehab staff. Thankyou very much for your assistance while I was in hospital. To those who complain, you have rocks in your head. (Contributed)
UP to the local businesses in Wagga who did not open for Boxing Day. The many people working in retail have earned a break and deserve the day off too. There is more to Christmas than shopping. If you can’t survive more than one day without shopping, drive to Sydney or Melbourne. I enjoyed the day with my family. I hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas break, too. (Contributed)
UP to the girls at Salon on Morgan. After my teenage daughter played hairdresser with a friend turning it orange and purple, three days before Christmas, we were desperate. No one else could help as they had been booked for two weeks. So we called in hoping for advice. The girls happily said they could fix it straight away, which they did.
Everyone was so busy yet they could see the emergency. Excellent work girls, you saved Christmas for one very upset teenager and her mum. (Contribute)
