UP to Australian Health Management (AHM) in Barrand Street, Wagga. The professional expertise of their dentists, efficient and friendly reception staff, modern clinic and application of the latest technology always exceeds my expectations. We are lucky to have such a first class facility in Wagga. Well done AHM. (Contributed)
UP to the council employees on the mowers who are keeping our parks and sporting fields looking good during the hot, dry weather. A special thanks and thumbs up to those on the grass cutters. You people are doing a tremendous job out in the heat, dust and flies, cutting the ever-growing weeds and grass along the roadways and open areas. This helps keep the fire danger at bay and also gives us walkers time to see any snakes. A good job, well done all of you. (Contributed)
UP to the staff of the Wagga Railway Station. Pride is a wonderful thing and certainly an attribute these staff possess. This team of workers is meticulous in the way they care for the surrounds of the building, including the carparks in Station Place. They deserve a standing ovation. (Contributed)
UP and full marks to Mike Flett, the manager of the Australia Post outlet at the Wagga Marketplace, for professionalism and going beyond the call of duty. Recently one of our staff members was awaiting delivery of an important government document by registered mail. The staffer was surprised to receive a call from Mr Flett who informed him that the document had been sitting uncollected in his office for a few days and was about to be returned to the department concerned because it had the wrong address on it. Mr Flett, who had a passing acquaintance with our staff member, remembered his name and rang to check what had happened. Mr Flett asked the staff member to come in and collect the document, saving the staff member a lengthy, needless wait simply because the government office concerned had been negligent in addressing the registered mail correctly. If only more people cared as much about their jobs as Mr Flett, how much better off we would all be! (Contributed)
UP to Grant Luhrs and the lady in the white Magna who came to my aid in Gurwood Street, Wednesday, March 26. My car had broken down and was stranded between the driveway and gutter, unable to be pushed to safety without their assistance. Thank you. (Contributed)
UP to the Manor Restaurant. It is certainly a pleasure to go out and have a meal at anytime, but to go out on Easter Sunday and have a meal which was perfect in every way, was wonderful. The hospitality and service of the staff at the Manor Restaurant in Morrow Street was second to none, a beautiful cooked meal and very reasonably priced. We would like to say thank you to Kennith and Chris who certainly made us feel very welcomed and relaxed. (Contributed)
