Thumbs Up for 21/05/08

UP and a big thank you to both the Turvey Tavern and Sportsmen’s Club Hotel for having Wagga entertainer and Wagga’s Mr Joe Cocker, “Rossi” perform on a regular basis. His easy listening style and wider repertoire is appreciated by all. It is great to see him solo at long last. It is a shame you don’t perform at more local venues. (Contributed)

UP to the people who pushed my car off Gobba Bridge after an accident on Sunday, April 27. Very much appreciated. (Contributed)

UP to the lovely person who is going to hand in my son's iPod touch (silver) that was lost at the Botanic Gardens on Thursday, April 24. Our family would like to thank this person in advance for returning the iPod. (Contributed)

UP to the lady senior citizen seen picking up rubbish along the upper end of Leavenworth Drive Reserve very early one Saturday morning. Sadly, this is an area of Wagga which has been neglected by our council for many years. (Contributed)

UP to Rex airlines for generously donating a return flight to Sydney to allow the carer of a child with special needs to undertake specific training. Everyone concerned was very appreciative. Thank you. (Contributed)

UP to One-Stop Car Detailing, John and Barb in Edward Street for the excellent job they did on the inside and outside of my dirty car. Also, for going out of their way to help. A great job, I would recommend them to anyone with a car that needs a good clean. (Contributed)

UP and a very big thank you to Hudson’s Building Supplies in Chaston Street. I have recently moved house and I had to make a lot of modifications to adapt to the new accommodation. I needed to purchase a considerable amount of timber and pieces of board to make things settle in.

When you know what dimensions you want, they cut materials to suit

whatever your requirements are. They provide a very worthwhile service to the public of Wagga. (Contributed)

UP to the Thomas Blamey Bistro, where I was taken for Mother’s Day by my family. I had a splendid meal and my whole family including the young ones were very impressed with the family atmosphere. Great meals, great location, great service. Thank you for one of my best Mother’s Days yet. (Contributed)

UP to the mail sorters and postman who were instrumental in making sure a recent birthday card from my daughter in Sydney, addressed to me in Wagga, arrived intact. The envelope had not been sealed properly and contained a number of unregistered lotto and lottery tickets which could have easily fallen out. Thank you for your good work. (Contributed)

UP to Dave from Platinum Home Products for the great service installing security doors to our home. Nothing was too much trouble. They look terrific and we feel much safer now. (Contributed)

UP to the kind and thoughtful Marketplace shopper or car park staff attendant who placed my forgotten pushchair in a safe and sensible location where I could retrieve it later. (Contributed)

UP to Costa at Crazy Jim’s for his help and service recently. On two occasions I had a problem that he soon rectified for me. (Contributed)

UP and thanks to John and Jenny at Ashmont Newsagency for their help since the pharmacy closed. Your kindness is very much appreciated. Perhaps one day we will be fortunate enough to have a family chemist back in our mall like many years ago when we had John Mueller, then Trish.

Also, thanks to Wagga Pharmacy for delivery of our scripts to our front door. (Contributed)
