UP to the Wagga Highway Patrol who have been catching the speeding idiots along Red Hill Road. Well done, keep up the good work. (Contributed)
UP to the Commercial Club for allowing us to see and hear one of our best local musicians in Grant Mason perform and release his new album, Back on My Feet Again. What a fantastic talent and wasn’t it good to see a packed Commercial Club, as well as a dance floor full of dancers having a ball. Possibly next time we have a local talent looking for a fresh start, they won’t have to pay to hire a room to perform. Come on Wagga, we can do better than that. Once again to Grant, well done. You’re back on your feet again and we can’t wait to hear more of your great music. Good luck. (Contributed)
UP and thank you to the lovely lady at Turvey Park shopping centre when we recently reversed our cars into each other. She was so gracious and kind. A true rarity in today’s world. You have restored my faith
in the human race. (Contributed)
UP to our entertainers. Wagga is truly blessed to have two wonderful musical groups – the Australian Army Band Kapooka and Murrumbidgee Magic, a women’s vocal group. The concert these two groups staged on Saturday, March 8 was magnificent and thoroughly enjoyed by all in the audience. Wonderful for Northcott, a big congratulations. (Contributed)
UP to the service department at Wagga Motors. They even washed our car after doing the repairs as quoted. Service like that guarantees return business. Good job. (Contributed)
UP to the organisers of the AFL NAB Challenge game in Narrandera who had tickets on sale at the Rules Club and the AFL offices for approximately four weeks prior to the game. They were still on sale the day before the game at the Rules Club. There were no long lines at the Narrandera Sportsground so the waiting period to buy a ticket was minimal. (Contributed)
UP to Matt and Clint of Leisure Pools. While working on our project they have been professional, paid attention to detail, have displayed a desire for excellence and have always gone the extra mile. It has been a pleasure to have them both on site. (Contributed)
UP to Carmody from the Wagga City Council rangers department for going out of her way after work hours to come to my house regarding a complaint submitted regarding my and my neighbour’s dogs. She went out of her way to remedy the complaint and handled it with great professionalism. DOWN to the neighbour who decided to waste the ranger’s time instead of coming to speak to us directly. UP to the wonderful volunteers of Micah House. Without your invaluable help we would be unable to continue this much-needed home. The empathy and friendship you show towards each person is very much appreciated by the committee and staff as well as the people who use our services. (Contributed)
UP and thank you to Mandy Cooper at Capital Chemist at South City. When she was unable to fill my prescription, she made two phone calls to other pharmacies to ensure my script could be filled. She then faxed the script to the pharmacy so it would be ready when I drove over there. It’s actions like that which will keep me going back. Thanks Mandy, you made my day. (Contributed)
UP to the RAFC Ladies Bowling Club’s Card Party. I recently had a lovely day out at the card party in aid of the Leukaemia Foundation. I had a really fun day. A big pat on the back to everyone concerned. (Contributed)
UP to the lovely “leprechaun” who saved me on St Patrick’s Day. After spending an enjoyable afternoon at a local pub, I was on my way home when I heard footsteps behind me. It was man dressed in green waving my wallet, which I had accidentally left at the bar.
