Up and a big thank you to Pam, a swimming instructor at Oasis. My daughter was in your class last term and we were very happy with the way that you conducted your lesson and the end result. (Contributed).
Up to WIN News, from Otto Pizzeria, for taking the time to cover our charity event recently. The owner and employees shaved their heads for the World’s Greatest Shave, tirelessly raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation. WIN News videoed the whole thing and were happy to give the guys a little recognition for their hard work. We are really grateful to them as we had also contacted other local TV stations only to be told “absolutely no way do they have time for a charity event”. (Contributed)
Up to our kind and considerate neighbours who did all to help us at a very difficult time. A huge thankyou for making things easier knowing that you are always there for us. (Contributed)
Up to the six dedicated ladies who every year, twice a year, fund raise and donate their time to putting together and running the city of Wagga’s dance eisteddfod in September. The eisteddfod is for dancers not only from the Riverina but Sydney and Melbourne. Entries are now open for competitors to enter for both eisteddfods. Volunteers are also desperately needed to help side stage and selling tickets or why not show your support by coming to watch ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance all for a small donation. If you’re interested in helping these wonderful women and enjoy dance call 6921 3736. (Contributed)
Up to staff at Franklins Tolland. While in Wagga recently I was shopping at the supermarket and it was raining and miserable. I came out of the shop to a very flat tyre. A lovely young girl in the shop phoned NRMA for me but after a lengthy discussion of where Tolland was, advised me NRMA were busy and would be at least an hour. So the lovely young lady arranged with two young men from the shop to change my tyre. Todd and Michael, thank you so much to all three of you I didn't think courtesy or kindness were out there anymore but you guys proved me wrong. (Contributed)
