Thumbs Up for 07/05/08

UP to John Jones, Production Officer at CSU’s School of Visual and Performing Arts. He never hesitates to help where he can with equipment to support our local community events – and often at very short notice. (Contributed)

UP to the friendly staff at Bunnings for all the advice and help with our DIY bar-building project. The bar wouldn’t be the same without you. (Contributed)

UP and congratulations to railway staff at the Wagga railway station for the polite and patient way they handled all the passengers catching the bus to Cootamundra recently. (Contributed)

Contact Elizabeth Hook 1/15A Phyllis St, Minto, NSW, 2566. Email evhook@optusnet.com.au. (Contributed)

UP, Up, Up to Craig and Jo of Prestige Driving Training. For both of your phenomenal ability to teach, and help learning drivers. The time, effort and patience you put into your students, in and after hours should be rewarded with a huge thank you. (Contributed)

UP to Keith at Veggies Forever, Flowerdale Road off Moorong St, for his help in supplying green tomatoes. We searched all over the city to no avail and thanks to you, our Green Tomato Pickles will be made once again this year. (Contributed)

UP to the two men who were driving down the laneway next to my house. My son and I were outside gardening and I was busy watering and stupidly didn’t even notice my one-year-old wander off down the laneway. I am forever grateful to the lovely man who got out of his car and ran after my boy and bundled him up just before attempting to cross the busy road in front. I noticed your shirt read ATEL and in my hysteria didn’t thank you enough. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, my hero. (Contributed)
