Thumbs Down for 9/4/08

DOWN to the shoplifters of Wagga. It is public opinion that it is always the young that steal but I can tell you they are of all ages. When people enter our store they are given the benefit of the doubt that they will be good, honest law-abiding citizens. Imagine how you would feel if I came into your home and just started taking what I wanted. You must be so proud to list one of your skills as stealing. Pity we couldn’t go back to the days where we branded “thief” on your forehead. We will now be compiling a list of descriptions and or names of known shop lifters and distributing it to all stores so beware because soon you will not be able to hold your head up in Wagga. DOWN to the lowlife who has two young children going to school and dumped five huge logs in front of an aged pensioner’s front gate on Easter Monday. The pensioner had to go to hospital on Tuesday and had trouble getting out. The pensioner then had to pay $50 to have the logs removed. The wood came from school grounds, and this lowlife is a member of the P&C committee of that school. (Contributed)

DOWN to a local household. One Saturday night you were hooning around and making people honk at you when they were driving past. My daughter was up screaming all night because of you. We are sick and tired of your loud music and bad behaviour, especially revving up cars at all hours. You’re not the only people that live in the street. (Contributed)

DOWN to the owner of the dog Bill. I have lived in Edney Street for quite some time now. You dog leaves its droppings up and down the street. I have not seen you pick it up once and I have never seen a plastic bag with you. Sometimes he doesn’t even have a lead on. (Contributed)

DOWN to the woman who was so nasty about the dog Bill. My Bill (same breed and name) was a very sociable dog. He liked to go “visiting” – a Houdini dog. I had to find him a new home and he now lives in Launceston. A dog gives such pleasure – they are much nicer than some people. I used to like it when I’d find another dog on my doorstep. It was like having another friend. (Contributed)

DOWN to the cafe which prides itself on having high quality meals yet takes an hour to serve them at a time when they have only a few customers. (Contributed)
