Down to a local company. I am a local business and I had previously had lots of jobs done with this company. I asked for a 10-minute favour of emailing me my completed jobs I had paid for, only to be told they were going to charge me a large fee for doing it. Others in the same line of work have happily done this for me before at no cost, obviously because I have already paid for the jobs to be done in the first place. Very disappointed in this local signwriter, what happened to good honest business relations?
Down to the young brainless morons, who roam the streets early morning (after pubs
close) damaging cars, breaking car windows, vandalising cars and making complete fools of themselves. We had an incident recently and several car windows were broken in our street. No telling how many were from the main street and to where ever they were going at three and four o’clock in morning walking home.
Down to a local auto store and their lack of customer service. During my last (and I mean last) visit, the man in charge was rude to his staff in front of customers and then rude to me. Thank goodness we are very fortunate in Wagga to have strong retail competition.
Down to the driver who needs to update their driving skills/road rules. On a recent Thursday when you were turning right from Hammond Avenue into Tarcutta Street at the underpass lights, you started your turn in the left of the two turning lanes, veered slowly across to the right turning lane blocking all traffic in both lanes behind you. Once you had completed this inconsiderate manoeuvre you then crossed slowly back over to the left turning lane causing myself, unfortunate enough to be turning right in the lane beside you, to brake heavily to avoid slamming into the side of your vehicle. Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were just having a bad day and don't normally drive like this, I refrained from reporting your dangerous driving. Please take better care in future and be mindful of cars in lan
Down to those too lazy to find bins who attended the Crusty Demons. There was a trail of bottles, cans and paper cups up the lane from the oval on the croquet club side and thrown into our gardens and across the front street outside and in gardens. It took one and a half large bags to clean up your mess. What is it going to be like if any more big events are held there in the future.
Down to the cab driver who drove me into town to do some jobs recently. As the task was only going to take two minutes, I asked the driver to wait until I came out. He said he would, and if I gave him some money he would circle the block a few times. The cab driver took my money and didn’t return. It just shows that you can’t trust anyone these days.
Down to Wagga council for a lack of foresight/planning in the Red Hill Road bypass. Why is there no acceleration lane on the Olympic Highway which heads south towards Kapooka. It’s pretty dangerous when you have a truck which is most probably speeding and there is a requirement to put you're foot to the floor to ensure you don't have a 20-tonne truck tailgating you.
Down to a food outlet who charged me for an extra cup so I could split a milkshake I was purchasing for two of my children. I was told condescendingly by the snippy clerk, “these things cost us money too,” like it was coming directly out of her pay packet. Since when did “company policy” replace common sense and personal judgement? I regret that I paid for the milkshake and didn’t just walk away instead, but you will never again have my patronage
