DOWN to the parents who allow their young kids to roam the streets at midnight. The parents of the four young boys with a Labrador dog caught vandalising the lights on the Christmas tree in the Victory Memorial Gardens on Sunday, December 23, should be ashamed of themselves. These kids would have been all of eight to 12 years of age. The youngest one was actually up in the tree fiddling with the powerbox, while the other three happily smashed the lights on the lower branches with long sticks. What would you have done if they were actually electrocuted – sue the council? Take some responsibility for your kids and teach them that vandalising public property is just not acceptable behaviour. Let’s hope it wasn’t the same idiots who returned a couple of nights later to finish the job properly. This vandalism is a very poor reflection on the “parents” of these four foul-mouthed little urchins. Teaching your kids to respect others might just lead them to maybe respect themselves and others property. A public park, particularly at midnight, is no place for kids to be. It makes one wonder what “home” must be like. God help the kids. (Contributed)

DOWN to the low lives who live in flats in Kooringal and do not have the decency to pick up their own rubbish strewn about all over the path. The pathway has been like this since Christmas. There are at least 12 bags of rubbish that need to be placed in the wheelie bins which appears to be too difficult for the tenants to deal with. Why don’t you guys get your act together and have a bit of respect for others in the neighbourhood instead of living like scumbags. (Contributed)

DOWN to the central Wagga hoteliers. You keep selling more and more alcohol to people who are clearly already intoxicated. Whatever happened to responsible service of alcohol, or is it just about making a few extra bucks? No wonder Wagga police have to work so hard to keep law and order in central Wagga. Maybe the people making all the money – the hoteliers – should be made to pay the cost of the extra services required to clean up the mess they are profiting from? (Contributed)
